There are two ways you can help make a difference through Global Independent Media (GIM) other than direct volunteering of your time and talents.
Donations
Donations/Contributions may be made for a specific project. If you choose this option, 100% of the money contributed goes directly to the project of your choice. Click the donate button and select your project from the dropdown menu.
Annual Membership
Annual membership is $100.00 US and is used to keep the lights and phone working, to purchase supplies for the coffee machine, buy paper for the copier, pay the post office, order the hats and T-shirts we send you which help promote GIM, etc.
EVERY INDIVIDUAL WORKING AT GIM IS A VOLUNTEER. No one gets paid. We do not solicit your help in order to pay for the work that we do, we ask for your help so that we have the tools to do the work.
If there is anything left over from your membership dollars at the end of the quarter, it goes into the fund which is used to develop and promote projects.
With your membership you receive:
- Membership card
- Members baseball type hat or T-shirt
- Autographed memorabilia from the projects
- Access to the “Members” portion of the website which will include:
- Production stills and updates
- Interview “snippets” from the actual production process
- And more!!
It is our hope that you will wear your hat or t-shirt and people will ask you about us.
PROBABLE TAX DEDUCTION: Please check with your tax professional. Although we are an approved IRS 501(c)3 organization, the level and extent of ANY deduction is based upon how your filings are done.
